This rural contemporary home reaches out and engages with the bucolic Wisconsin landscape. With views for miles, the gently canted roof  lines simulate the rolling hills and accentuate the horizon beyond. Responding to the seasons, the design incorporates cascading wall systems to create flexible and everchanging indoor/outdoor spaces. Each room frames the views immersing the interior and blurring the line of enclosed space.  The home design is established on an offset linear form  following the topography of the site. The exterior is clad with highland stone and aluminum siding with the interior structure expressed in steel and Douglas fir. The flowing interior spaces are highlighted with a sweeping steel and wood staircase linking the family, entertaining and loft spaces.  - Destree Design Architects
